Plurals and Singular
The definition of plural is more than one person or thing.
Singular refers to just one person or thing
E.g.
The below examples are of regular nouns

Singular nouns ending in s, x, ch, sh however, changes to plural by adding –es

Singular nouns ending in a consonant then a y becomes a plural by dropping y and adding –ies.

However, if the singular noun ends in a vowel then a y, it becomes plural by adding –s at the end.
